Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews. I like to read reviews and make decisions off of them, however I never take the time to actually review literally anything. That being said...
I have been following the creator of Gubba Homestead for a long time on Instagram and finally decided to give her skincare line a try after YEARS of doing the right thing left my skin constantly looking dull and lifeless. By doing the right thing, I mean using top-rated brands like EltaMD, getting regular facials, laser treatments, micro needling, LED treatments - I was doing everything RIGHT, supposedly. I am only 41, however I haven't been looking that way; my skin has looked hollow and patchy and it was constantly irritated by my simply existing.
Because I had such "sensitive" skin, I was wary of trying any new products. I had been brainwashed to believe that without these particular treatments and skincare lines, I would immediately break out. But as I began the journey of detoxing everything in our household, I knew my skincare routine had to be next. If the chemicals used to spray down our food can affect our hormones, I knew that what I was putting on my skin every day had to matter just as much.
So, with fear, I gave this line a try. I was sure there was going to be a major breakout, but there wasn't. I was sure that the breakout would come eventually, but it's been two months and there hasn't been one in sight. I was sure it wouldn't make a difference, but suddenly my skin is plump again, filled with life, and dare I say it: youthful.
The cleansing oil is wonderful.
The tallow balms are magical not only on the face, but on any skin irritation and even as tattoo care! I mixed the tallow with coconut oil and my fresh tattoo healed beautifully and evenly.
The rose spray is heavenly.
I have since bought a starter kit for every woman I love.
Make the switch, your skin will thank you!
