Shipping Policy
FREE shipping on all U.S. orders over $75. Since every product we make is crafted fresh, we process and ship all orders within 7-10 business days. If you have any questions about shipping status or need rush delivery, reach out to us at orders@gubbahomestead.com.
We reserve the right to select and use a postal service of our choice for all shipments. While we strive to provide the best shipping experience possible, this flexibility ensures we make decisions for the timely and secure delivery of your orders.
Shipping Responsibility
Once your order is handed over to the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for any delays, lost packages, or issues related to the delivery. Shipping is handled by a third-party carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS), and any delays, tracking errors, or failures are outside of our control. If any issues arise, customers must contact the shipping carrier directly to resolve them. We provide tracking numbers for all shipments, and it is the customer’s responsibility to monitor the status of their order.
We offer Shipping Protection at checkout as an optional extra insurance measure. This coverage protects your order in case of loss, theft, or damage during transit. If you choose to opt out of this service, you agree to take up any delivery issues directly with the shipping carrier, as we are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged packages without this added coverage.
Melted Products in Transit
Please keep in mind that our products contain natural oils and are susceptible to melting in high temperatures. During warmer months, balms and creams may arrive in a melted or liquid state. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this possibility, and refunds will not be issued based on consistency upon arrival. If your product melts, place it upright in a cool room or refrigerator to allow it to solidify without affecting the quality.
Ingredient Review and Storage
Each product has an ingredient list available on our website. Please review this carefully before ordering to check for any potential allergens. Our products are free from preservatives, so for best results, store them in a cool, dry place and avoid adding water to them.
Address Accuracy and Reshipment Policy
We rely on the shipping address you provide during checkout. Please double-check all details to ensure accuracy. If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you, we will not issue a refund. You will be responsible for covering the cost of reshipping the order to the correct address, including any additional charges incurred as a result of the return. You will have 72 hours to pay the reshipment fee. If the invoice is not paid within that time and after multiple attempts to contact you, we will mark the order as complete and close the case. If you need to update your address before your order is shipped, contact us immediately to make the changes.
International Shipping and Customs Charges
We ship to many destinations worldwide. Shipping rates will be calculated at checkout, and if your country is eligible, it will be displayed there.
Customs Duties and Taxes: You are solely responsible for paying any customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by your country. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost.
Customs Clearance: It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you order comply with the customs regulations of your country. We recommend checking with your local customs office for details before placing an order.
Delivery Delays: Customs inspections may cause delays beyond our control. Once shipped, we are not responsible for delays or issues caused by customs processing or the shipping carrier.
Refusal of Delivery: If you refuse to pay customs duties or fail to collect the package, resulting in its return to us, you will be responsible for the following:
- To reship the package, you must cover the new shipping costs.
- Refunds will not be issued for the original product or shipping costs if the order is returned due to unpaid customs fees or failure to collect it. Returned items will be considered forfeited.
Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Shipments
We are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or delayed once they leave our facility unless you have purchased Shipping Protection at checkout. If you have opted into Shipping Protection, we will assist you in filing a claim and finding a resolution for the issue.
If you opted out of Shipping Protection, you will be responsible for addressing any issues directly with the shipping carrier.
Damaged Shipments
If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photos of the damage and packaging. Be sure to inspect your order upon arrival. Failure to report damage within 48 hours may limit our ability to assist you. Depending on the circumstances, replacements may be considered, but refunds are not guaranteed.
Force Majeure and Unforeseen Delays
We are not liable for any shipping delays or failures due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, weather conditions, strikes, customs delays, or government restrictions or regulations. These events may cause delays, and refunds will not be issued based on delivery interruptions caused by them.
International Shipping Delays
In rare cases, global events or carrier disruptions may temporarily prevent us from shipping to certain countries. If this happens, your order will be carefully held and shipped as soon as service resumes.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, as these situations are outside of our control.
Orders affected by these temporary disruptions will not be canceled or refunded due to delays, as they will be fulfilled once shipping becomes available again.
